Refund and Returns Policy

At NL Research Consultants, we are committed to maintaining transparency, professionalism, and fairness in all client engagements. Because our services are customized, intellectual, research-based, and contract-specific, this Refund and Returns Policy explains how payments, cancellations, and service commitments are handled.

All clients are strongly advised to carefully read our Master Consulting Agreement, Terms and Conditions, payment structure, and service scope before making any payment or formally engaging our services. Payment or contract confirmation indicates acceptance of these terms.

 

  1. Nature of Our Services

NL Research Consultants provides professional, customized services including but not limited to:

  • Research Proposal Development
  • Data Collection and Analysis
  • Thesis and Dissertation Support
  • Research Reports
  • Academic Writing and Publications
  • Presentations and Corrections
  • Research Guidance and Consulting
  • And other service stipulated in About Us page/ or Privacy policy

Because these services involve immediate intellectual input, consultation time, planning, strategy, and project allocation, they are not treated like physical retail products and therefore do not qualify for traditional “returns.”

 

  1. No Return of Delivered Professional Services

Once consultation, planning, drafting, analysis, writing, or project execution has started, services are considered actively delivered. As a result:

Completed, partially completed, or initiated professional services cannot be returned.

This includes:

  • Drafted proposals
  • Research reports
  • Collected data
  • Analysis outputs
  • Dissertation or thesis support
  • Consultation sessions
  • Academic documents
  • Digital deliverables

 

  1. Refund Policy

General Rule: Payments Are Non-Refundable

All payments made to NL Research Consultants are generally non-refundable once service work has commenced.

This aligns with the operational terms of our Master Consulting Agreement, particularly where project work, consultation time, and technical resources have already been allocated.

Why Refunds Are Limited:

Your payment covers more than a final document—it may include:

  • Consultation and planning
  • Time allocation
  • Research structuring
  • Technical expertise
  • Drafting and revisions
  • Reserved project scheduling

 

  1. Partial Refund Limitations Under Agreement Terms

Where service termination occurs under applicable contract conditions, refunds are not guaranteed. As outlined in our governing service agreement:

“75% of any pre-paid amount will be retained for work already done, after abstracting consultation fee.”

This means that where work has begun, substantial portions of payments may be retained to cover consultation, progress, intellectual labor, and project investment.

 

  1. Client Responsibility Before Payment

Before paying, every client must:

  • Read and understand all service terms
  • Review project scope carefully
  • Confirm deliverables and timelines
  • Verify payment obligations
  • Ensure instructions are accurate

Failure to review the agreed terms before payment does not create refund eligibility.

 

  1. Corrections vs Refunds

Reasonable corrections within the original agreed scope may be provided where applicable. However:

Corrections are not refunds.

If a client changes:

  • Research title
  • Objectives
  • Methodology
  • Project direction

This may require a revised agreement and additional charges rather than refund consideration.

 

  1. Exceptional Circumstances

Refunds may only be considered in limited cases such as:

  • Verified duplicate payments
  • Billing errors caused directly by NL Research Consultants
  • Service cancellation by NL Research Consultants before work begins

Any refund exception is subject to internal review and management approval.

 

  1. Failure to Complete Agreed Payments

Clients are expected to complete payment obligations according to the agreed payment structure. Failure to do so may result in service suspension, withholding of final files, or additional enforcement measures as described in service agreements.

 

  1. Read Before You Commit

To avoid misunderstandings, clients should thoroughly review:

  • Payment Terms
  • Service Scope
  • Correction Policies
  • Timelines
  • Termination Clauses
  • Terms and Conditions

This protects both parties and ensures professional clarity.

 

  1. Policy Acceptance

By making payment, signing a service agreement, or engaging NL Research Consultants, you acknowledge that you have:

  • Read this Refund and Returns Policy
  • Understood that services are generally non-returnable
  • Accepted limited refund conditions
  • Agreed to applicable Terms and Conditions
